Preparing for your dog’s stay at The Happy Dog Retreat

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO DROP-OFF:

  1. Vaccination Records
  2. Food (Preferable but not required) Pre-measured in individual sealed baggies for EACH meal
    a. Please label each bag with your dog’s name and either AM or PM
    b. Please provide an extra two days of food
  3. Medication/Supplements (if needed) with administration instructions and pill pockets, cheese or peanut butter (if needed) you give with the pills.
    a. If your dog will require prescription medication during their stay, please let us know when you make the reservations or at check-in. We can administer the following types if medications:
    i. Pills/capsules, liquids, topicals, eye drops/ointments, ear cleansing/drops, shots
    b. Helpful Tip: add medications to your dogs prepackaged food when possible
  4. DISCLOSURE: there will be no added medication charge for medication added into food bags, put into pill pockets, or into AM/PM pill sorter
    i. An extra fee of $25 will be added for organizing medications (2 or more) that are brought in their original containers and not organized
    ii. If your dog shows signs of aggression, or tries to bite the staff, the medication WILL NOT be administered and you will be contacted. This applies to ear cleanings, shots, baths etc.
    iii. A through and complete typed out explanation for medications may be required.

YOU ARE WELCOME TO BRING YOUR OWN AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING! WE WILL NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY ITEMS THAT ARE LOST AND NOT LABELED!

Closed ALL Saturdays and holidays for communication, drop-offs and pickups.

Due to the fact that this is a 24hr/7day per week business, our farm will be closed on holidays and Saturdays so Kristen can spend uninterrupted time with her family. There will be no pick-ups, drop-offs, and any communication related to bookings or your dog's stay. However, rest assured that our staff will continue to provide exceptional care to your furry friends during these times.
